Sound Therapy
Healing vibrations for positive and lasting change
Sound is the source of all being. Vibration is the basis of all our reality. Every organ, bone, tissue, and every part of your body is in a state of vibration and has its own resonance - the frequency or vibration that is most natural and harmonious to it. When your body is out of balance, stressed or holding on to old trauma, your cells will not be functioning (vibrating) at their optimum.
Every part of your body is putting out a sound that is contributing to creating an overall harmonic of health. Our body is like a wonderful orchestra, each section playing the proper notes for optimum health. If however one part starts playing out of tune, out of rhythm and harmony with the rest of the orchestra, the overall vibration is affected which can create illness and dis-ease. SOUND + INTENTION = HEALING
Sound Therapy is the therapeutic application of sound frequencies to the body/mind of people with the intention of bringing them into a state of harmony and health- from a place of imbalance to balance.
The sound vibrations alter our brainwave frequency, taking us from beta (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness) and even to theta (meditative) and delta (sleep- where internal healing can occur).
A range of instruments are used including: Gong, Voice, Tibetan Singing
Bowls and bells, Native American Flute, Shamanic drum and many more to induce a state of deep relaxation. The drum and rattles are used for clearing and cleansing the energies, and the Gongs and Singing bowls produce beautiful overtones and harmonics which have the powerful ability to transmute dense energies and transform us, leaving us feeling lighter, refreshed and rejuvenated.
Because sound transforms matter, it makes changes on the physical but also on a mental, emotional and spiritual level too. As well as the vibrations from the instruments having a very beneficial and soothing effect on the individual, they also assist in the release of emotional and energetic blockages such as : clearing old patterns of behaviour/ways of thinking, and releasing blocks and traumas that no longer serve you. Healing occurs on a very deep cellular level.
